Hands Only CPR
SBVAC frequently holds tabling events and classes in Hands-Only CPR for the community. SBVAC’s goal is to train laypeople the technique for proper chest compressions.
CLUBS AND ORGS COLLABORATION
SBVAC is happy to host trainings with other campus groups including clubs, fraternities, residential halls, athletic organizations, and more. Use our contact form if your group is interested!
Teddy Bear CLinics
SBVAC members give back to the local community through their work in Teddy Bear Clinics and Girl Scout First Aid Trainings. In both of the above, our members bring an ambulance and medical supplies to preschools and scout troops to engage them in the first aid response.
Stop the Bleed
Stop the Bleed is a national campaign aimed at educating bystanders on how to control life-threatening bleeds. After receiving the training themselves, our members have made it a goal to relay the knowledge to campus staff, faculty, student clubs and organizations as well as groups across the county.
CPo Collaboration
We work closely with the Center for Prevention and Outreach on campus to better educate our peers on what to do when an ambulance shows up and to open up our agency more to the community that we treat.
