About SBVAC WEB

The new webpage for SBVAC is more than a new look. It is structured differently (using CSS style sheets and Macromedia Dreamweaver's excellent template updating feature) so that modifying and posting media on the page is done easily without compromising the general format, leaving the webmasters more time to provide quality content on the page. We have divided the development of the page into phases, so that the basic website with its content can be released while the kinks of the more advanced and non-essential features are being shaken out. Please keep checking back to see the updates we have made (or have planned) and to give us suggestions on how we can improve the website!

Phase 1

• Porting of current content into a new template-based layout [v]
• Alpha testing among members [v]
• Testing for viewing consistency across popular browsers (IE 6+, Firefox, Opera, Safari) and resolutions [v]

Phase 2

• Updating/revising content [v]
• Addition of a photo album that will automatically generate its own pages and thumbnails [v]
• Addition of an event calendar with possible posting features for officers [progress]
• Inclusion of Flash to certain portions of the website [progress]
